Angry Birds 2How to Get the Most Free Black Pearls in Angry Birds 2
In Angry Birds 2 gems pay for retries and chests, and black pearls buy hats. Neither of them is given away, but the game has several fixed daily sources if you know where to look.
What is the fastest and most efficient way to get Black Pearls in Angry Birds 2?
Angry Birds 2 runs two premium currencies with very different uses. Gems are the main one and go on continuing a level when pigs are still alive β 60 the first time, 180 the second and doubling from there β on opening rare and legendary chests, and on refilling energy. Black pearls, on the other hand, are only good at the hatter's: they buy hat sets that raise each bird's power. Mixing up those priorities is the most expensive mistake in the game.
Every day
- Gems, feathers and spells every day; a legendary chest on the seventh in a row
The daily challenge and its seven-day streak
Each day features a different bird and the challenge runs over three stages, the last one with a boss. Completing it hands out feathers for that day's bird, a spell, a bonus card and gems. The real point is the streak: seven days in a row without failing, without quitting a level and without skipping a day earn you a legendary chest. Failing breaks the streak and costs one of your five lives. Rovio has spent 2026 reworking this mode under the name King Pig Panic, so the label may change, not the mechanic.
- Growing gem payouts per floor and free hats on the jackpot floors
Climbing the Tower of Fortune and cashing out in time
It is a daily card minigame: on each floor you pick one of four and take the prize, which grows with height, in the order of ten gems on the first floor and more than two hundred on the high ones. One of the cards hides a pig that leaves you with nothing, and skipping past it costs 20 gems the first time, 50 the second and double each time after that. You can watch an ad to skip one pig for free once per run. Floors that are multiples of five have no pig and give away hats.
- Black pearls and gems on the pass's free track
The daily missions in the Treasure Pass
The Treasure Pass, live since late 2023, runs on season points earned by completing daily missions and epic missions. The free track hands out feathers, black pearls and cosmetic trinkets without paying anything; the paid one is optional and does not block the other. Once you hit the maximum rank, the points you keep accumulating fill a chest that opens before the next pass starts. It is the most regular source of black pearls for anyone who drops in for a while every day.
- One free spin every twenty-four hours
The hatter's black pearl whirl
In the hat shop there is a whirl dedicated to black pearls with one free spin every twenty-four hours. Each following spin costs 60 gems and doubles the amount you get, up to a maximum of five per day. Unless you are about to finish a hat set, paying gems here is not worth it: they return a good deal more when spent on chests. Take the free spin, close the shop and you are done. It is half a minute a day and costs absolutely nothing.
Every week
- Black pearls for the first two wins in a row and arena coins after that
Win streaks in the Arena
The Arena hands out streak prizes within each day: the first two consecutive wins give black pearls, the third and fourth give arena coins and the fifth gives rainbow feathers. The higher your league, the better those prizes get. Arena coins are spent in their own shop, where there are high-rarity hats for the extra birds, black pearls and feathers. To qualify for the end-of-season prizes you need to have won five rounds during the season.
- Loose gems every time a free chest opens or a clan event wraps up
Free chests and clan rewards
The game hands out free chests on a timer and by progress, and gems are one of the possible prizes inside them. On top of that come clan rewards: taking part in clan battles and clan events returns prizes that include gems. Neither route gives large amounts, but they are the only ones that require no skill at all, only consistency. If you belong to an active clan, the difference at the end of the month compared with playing solo is very visible.
One time only
- A built-up reserve of pearls for every duplicate, exotics aside
Turning duplicate hats into black pearls
When you get a hat you already own β from the Tower of Fortune, from a chest or from the Arena β the game automatically converts it into black pearls. You can also manually convert any hats you own and do not plan to use, with the exception of exotic ones. It is not a recurring source, but if you have been playing for years there is a forgotten reserve sitting there that can finish off in one go the set you are missing to raise a bird's power.
What does not work
No generator can add Black Pearls to your Angry Birds 2 account: the balance is handled on the gameβs servers and there is no way to touch it from outside. If you arrived looking for one, we explain in detail how they work on the inside and why they always end the same way.

How do you decide when to cash out of the Tower of Fortune?
You can leave on any floor keeping everything you have won, so the decision is purely about risk. Floors that are multiples of five hide no pig, which makes them a good point to claim. Each run includes one ad to skip a pig for free, but only one: from the second onwards the price starts at 20 gems and doubles with every encounter, up to 3,200.
How much does it cost to continue a level while pigs are still alive?
The first continue costs 60 gems, the second 180, the third 360, the fourth 720 and from the fifth onwards 1,440. If you have free bird tokens, the game uses those before your gems. Quitting the level or closing the game costs no gems, but you lose your progress. With those figures, continuing pays off very rarely compared with replaying the level from scratch.
What exactly are black pearls for, and why hold on to them?
They are the hatter's currency and are only spent there. Hats are not cosmetic: completing a set raises the matching bird's power, so they directly affect what you score in the Arena and in the daily challenge. They come from the Tower of Fortune, from daily deals, from Arena streaks, from the Treasure Pass and from converting duplicates.
Why does the daily challenge streak break without having failed a level?
The streak requires seven consecutive days of completing the challenge, and it snaps for four reasons: failing the level, quitting it, force-closing the game mid-run or skipping a day. Closing the app does not save the attempt, it counts as a defeat and also uses up a life if you had already launched a bird. If you are short on time, it is better not to start the challenge than to leave it half done.
