What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences or session state between visits.
Cookies we use
pitycalculator.com uses strictly necessary technical cookies plus Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregated, anonymous usage of the site. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie-consent | Technical | Stores your cookie choice (localStorage) | Permanent (local) |
| pc-geo | Technical | Stores your region (EU or rest of world) to decide whether a consent banner is required | 180 days |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Technical | Remembers your selected language | 1 year |
| _ga | Analytics | Google Analytics β distinguishes anonymous visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_YBJJ0TZC7W | Analytics | Google Analytics β keeps session state | 2 years |
Analytics and consent by region
In the EU, EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent before enabling Google Analytics: analytics stays disabled until you press "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Outside these regions, where the law allows it, analytics is enabled by default and no banner is shown; you can still opt out at any time through your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on. In all regions we run Google Consent Mode and do not use advertising cookies.
How to manage cookies
You can manage or delete cookies from your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings β Privacy and security β Cookies
- Firefox: Settings β Privacy & Security β Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences β Privacy β Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings β Privacy, search, and services β Cookies
Note that disabling technical cookies may affect the correct functioning of the site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our use of cookies changes. Any significant change will be reflected here, and where consent is legally required we will request it again.
