How does the pity system in Fire Emblem Heroes work?
FEH has a unique incremental pity system: the 5★ rate increases by +0.25% per group of 5 summons without a 5★. It starts at 3% and rises progressively. The effective hard pity is 120 summons, though in practice the 40-pull Spark or rising rate resolves it sooner.
What is the Spark on New Hero banners?
After accumulating 40 summons on a New Hero banner, you can freely choose any focus 5★ hero from the banner for free. The free summon and Summoning Tickets count toward this total, so in practice you only need about 35 Orbs of your own.
How much does a summon really cost in FEH?
The first Orb in each 5-summon session costs 5 Orbs; the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th cost 4 Orbs; and the 5th costs 3 Orbs. Total for a full session: 20 Orbs (4 Orbs average per summon). If you only open 1 orb per session, the cost is 5 Orbs per pull.
What are Focus Heroes in FEH?
Focus Heroes are the featured characters in the current banner. When you get a 5★, it can be a Focus Hero (probability varies by banner) or a non-focus 5★ from the standard pool. On New Hero banners, the focus heroes are newly added characters.
Does pity carry over between FEH banners?
Not exactly. The pity counter (sessions without a 5★) resets when you obtain any 5★, regardless of whether it is focus or non-focus. There is no accumulated pity system between different banners as in Genshin or HSR.
