How to Get the Most Free Coins in Homescapes

Homescapes hands out coins even more sparingly than its sibling Gardenscapes, and its levels hit considerably harder. Knowing exactly where the coins come from, and how much each source pays, makes all the difference.

What is the fastest and most efficient way to get Coins in Homescapes?

Homescapes Coins have three destinations: buying additional moves, buying boosters and refilling lives for 900. The price of moves and boosters runs from 900 to 3,800 depending on their power, so a single stuck level can empty your reserve. Stars are separate: they cannot be bought with coins or with real money and they only go towards the mansion tasks. Since the levels are noticeably harder than in Gardenscapes, the pressure on your coins is greater.

Every day

  • 50-150 coins per level depending on difficulty, plus the day bonus

Clear levels and close out mansion days

The base payout per level runs from 50 to 150 coins and depends on the marked difficulty, not on your performance on the board. Completing a full day of tasks adds a separate bonus, as does finishing the requests Austin and the rest of the characters keep giving you. Watch out for one detail that catches out anyone coming from Gardenscapes: here, closing the day does not give you your lives back. Energy runs on its own clock and has to be managed separately.

  • Up to around 60 coins per batch

    Rewarded ads

The game offers video ads in exchange for rewards, with a documented cap of around 60 coins. It is the worst-paid source on this list in absolute terms, but also the least demanding: it does not depend on clearing anything. It makes more sense when the ad is offered in exchange for boosters or for continuing a level you had almost finished, because there you save the 900 coins the extra moves would have cost.

Every week

  • 300 coins per letter; 200 per minigame or SOS level

Mailbox letters, minigames and SOS levels

The mansion mailbox delivers letters worth 300 coins each, tied to how the story advances. Minigames and SOS levels, those one-off requests that interrupt the renovation, pay 200. Neither demands any special skill on the board, and plenty of players leave them unclaimed for weeks. Checking the mailbox and the tasks tab before you sit down to play is one of the most profitable routines per minute invested.

  • 5 coins per life sent; 1,000-6,000 per team competition

Send lives and compete with your team

Every life you send a teammate gives you five coins back. It sounds laughable until you turn it into a routine: it is free, you can do it daily and it costs you nothing of your own. The bulk arrives with team competitions β€” Champions Tournament, Team Tournament β€” which hand out between 1,000 and 6,000 coins depending on the group's result. Picking an active team matters more than how much you personally play, because the prize is calculated on the whole group's performance.

One time only

  • 1,000 coins, once per promoted game

Install another Playrix game from the in-game prompt

Homescapes pays 1,000 coins for downloading another title from the Playrix catalogue through the prompt that appears inside the game itself. It is an official cross-promotion and, in practice, the single largest payout you will see without reaching for your wallet during the first few weeks. It only works once per promoted game and the link has to come from the in-game prompt: installing it yourself from the store does not trigger the reward.

  • Small amounts spread across each restored area

Finds around the mansion and gifts from the characters

While you renovate a room, the game hides coins in scenery objects that are only revealed when you tap them, and the characters hand you small amounts as thanks for helping them. On top of that come the start-of-game gift and the daily deliveries when you open the app. None of this can be planned for, but it does add up: running your finger over the newly finished room before going back to the board recovers coins that would otherwise just sit there.

Events only

  • Coins, boosters and unlimited lives for milestones cleared

Cascading events and the season pass free track

The long events β€” Origami Art, Crystal Hunt, Chocolate Refinement β€” layer a progress bar over the normal levels and pay out by milestone. The season pass works the same way, with a row of free rewards unlocked simply by playing and a paid row you can ignore without being locked out of the event. Claiming the free milestones costs nothing, so the only possible mistake is letting the event expire with rewards left uncollected.

What does not work

No generator can add Coins to your Homescapes account: the balance is handled on the game’s servers and there is no way to touch it from outside. If you arrived looking for one, we explain in detail how they work on the inside and why they always end the same way.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get stars in Homescapes if they cannot be bought?

Stars only come from clearing match-3 levels and are spent entirely on the mansion tasks. There is no way to buy them with coins or with real money, not even from the in-game bank. That is why, when the renovation stalls, the answer is never in your coin balance: you need to play more levels or wait for an event that multiplies the payout.

How much does each level pay and why do you sometimes get less?

The documented range runs from 50 to 150 coins per level cleared, and the variable is the marked difficulty: hard and very hard levels pay more than normal ones. The number of moves you have left over makes no difference, unlike in other match-3 games in the genre. If your income feels low, you are probably replaying easy levels instead of advancing into new areas of the map.

How do you recover lives in Homescapes without spending 900 coins?

Lives regenerate on their own over time, so the default option is waiting. You can also request and receive them from teammates, and events hand out stretches of unlimited lives as milestone rewards. What does not work here is closing out a mansion day: unlike in Gardenscapes, completing the day does not refill the life counter.

What is the difference between Homescapes coins and Gardenscapes coins?

The uses are almost identical β€” moves, boosters and a 900-coin life refill β€” but the payouts are not. Homescapes documents specific amounts per mailbox letter, minigame or SOS level, and adds 1,000 coins for installing another Playrix game. Gardenscapes, on the other hand, scales each level's bonus according to the moves you have left and gives you five lives back when you start a new day.
