They do not accumulate over time, they accumulate through wins: official support states that each victory pays between 5 and 30 coins depending on the booster you defeated, and between 10 and 60 once you are in Grandmaster or above. Trophies, on the other hand, are never spent; they track your progress and unlock each season's prize track.
