Outerplane's summon system uses Ether to recruit Heroes of 3β rarity. There is no soft pity: the rate stays flat at 3% until hard pity at 200 pulls. Each Recruit costs 150 Ether. The Mileage system accumulates 1 point per pull: at 200 points you can directly redeem the featured Hero, and Mileage carries over between consecutive rate-up banners.

Frequently asked questions about pity in Outerplane
What is Mileage in Outerplane?
Mileage is Outerplane's pity system: each Recruit grants 1 Mileage point. At 200 points you can directly redeem the featured 3β
Hero of the rate-up banner, without relying on chance.
Does Outerplane have soft pity?
No. Unlike Genshin or HSR, Outerplane keeps the 3β
rate flat at 3% throughout the streak, with no gradual increase. The only guarantee is Mileage at 200 pulls.
Does Mileage carry over between banners in Outerplane?
Not entirely lost: since the June 2023 update, leftover Mileage carries over to the next rate-up banner instead of being lost or converted into a separate item.
How much Ether do I need for full Mileage in Outerplane?
200 pulls Γ 150 Ether = 30,000 Ether to guarantee the featured Hero via Mileage. On average, with the flat 3% rate, the cumulative odds of pulling it earlier are usually much lower in pulls needed.
What are Heroes in Outerplane?
Heroes are the playable characters in Outerplane, grouped in rarities from 1 to 3 stars. 3β
Heroes are the highest rarity and the only ones eligible for rate-up on event banners.
