Rise of KingdomsHow to Get the Most Free Gems in Rise of Kingdoms
In Rise of Kingdoms, gems are mostly earned out on the open map: deposits, barbarians and daily objectives. It is a slow trickle, but a very predictable one if you keep the routine going.
What is the fastest and most efficient way to get Gems in Rise of Kingdoms?
Gems are the premium currency in Rise of Kingdoms and are used for commander chests, speed-ups, teleports and Mysterious Merchant purchases. Below them sit the basic resources β food, wood, stone and gold β gathered from tiles out on the map. What sets this apart from other empire games is that here gems are also a terrain resource: there are deposits you gather with troops, just like wood. That turns map management into a source of premium currency, not just of materials.
Every day
- Around a hundred gems in the final chest
Completing the daily objectives
The daily objectives list adds activity points for actions you already take: gathering, training troops, researching or using speed-ups. Filling the bar opens several chests, and the last one includes around a hundred gems. It is the game's most regular source and the one that sets the income floor for any account. It requires no performance and no luck, only showing up every day and spacing out your actions so you reach the final tier before the reset.
- Dozens of gems per tile, depending on the deposit's level
Gathering gem deposits on the map
Gem deposits appear on the kingdom map, but they are only visible and gatherable once you research Jewelry in the economic tree. They work like any resource tile: you send an army and it gathers for a while. The higher-level ones return considerably more per trip, so it pays to seek them out rather than settling for the first one nearby. Keeping a march permanently parked on deposits turns a passive resource into noticeable daily income.
- Variable loot with gems among the possible rewards
Hunting barbarians and forts
Attacking barbarian camps and barbarian forts consumes action points and returns chests with resources, equipment materials and, with some probability, gems. The higher the target's level, the better the average payout. Action points regenerate on their own, so letting them sit at full is lost income. Forts are attacked as a group with your alliance and pay considerably more than a lone camp, as well as contributing points towards your daily objectives.
- A steady trickle proportional to the group's activity
Claiming alliance gifts and chests
Every time an alliance member buys a pack or defeats a boss, gifts are generated that everyone can claim, and there are additional chests tied to territory and to collective tasks. The payout depends directly on how many active people are in the group. Claiming takes seconds and they are lost if they expire, so opening the gifts tab should be part of the same routine as your daily objectives.
One time only
- Fixed bags for clearing each stretch of the mode
Advancing through Expedition
Expedition is the staged mode against the AI and hands out gems, sculptures and materials as you hit milestones. It is a single-use pot, but a very large one, and you can come back to it once your commanders have levelled enough to get past the wall you stalled at. Since it is tied to no calendar, it serves as a reserve for covering a specific purchase without waiting for the next server event.
Events only
- The biggest handouts on the calendar
Playing the rotating events and Kingdom vs Kingdom
The server rotates themed events β Ceroli Crisis, Karuak Ceremony, Lucerne Scrolls, Ian's Ballads β with prize ladders that include gems, and Kingdom vs Kingdom seasons add their own objectives with their own payouts. They usually reward actions that were already part of your plan: training troops, upgrading buildings or gathering. Saving resources and speed-ups to dump during the event multiplies what you collect for the same effort.
- One-off rewards whenever there is a campaign or a livestream
Redeeming Lilith's official codes
Lilith Games publishes redemption codes on its official channels and, above all, during anniversary livestreams, where it usually hands out several in a row along with prize giveaways. They are entered in your account settings and they expire, so collecting old lists is useless. Following the game's official accounts is the only reliable way to hear about them in time; any page asking for your credentials to apply a code is a scam.
What does not work
No generator can add Gems to your Rise of Kingdoms account: the balance is handled on the gameβs servers and there is no way to touch it from outside. If you arrived looking for one, we explain in detail how they work on the inside and why they always end the same way.

How do you get free gems in Rise of Kingdoms?
The reliable sources are the daily objectives with their final chest, gathering gem deposits on the map, loot from barbarians and forts, Expedition milestones, alliance gifts, the server's rotating events and Lilith's official codes. None pays much on its own, but combined they give a steady daily flow that becomes noticeable after a few weeks.
What do you need in order to gather gem deposits?
Researching Jewelry in the economic technology tree. Until then, deposits do not show up as a valid target for your armies. Once unlocked they work like any resource tile: you send a march and it gathers for a while. Higher-level ones return considerably more per trip, so it pays to travel a bit on the map instead of always gathering the closest one.
How does the Rise of Kingdoms economy differ from Clash of Kings?
In Rise of Kingdoms the premium currency is the gem and part of it is physically gathered on the map, with marches and its own technology. Progression revolves around commanders, obtained through chests and sculptures. In Clash of Kings, gold is the premium currency, it is not gathered on the terrain and it arrives mostly through daily logins, quests and events, with castle and dragon upgrades as the backbone of development.
What should you spend your first gems on?
Permanent progression. Chests that provide sculptures for useful commanders and the unlocks that speed up your economy pay off across the whole game. Burning gems on speed-ups to finish a building that was going to complete on its own is the most common mistake. It is also worth checking the Mysterious Merchant before spending in the normal shop, because its catalogue rotates and sometimes offers better-valued items per gem.
