Geometry DashHow to Get the Most Free Diamonds in Geometry Dash
Geometry Dash is the exception on this list: its Orbs, Diamonds and Keys are not sold for real money anywhere. There is no currency shop, only ways to earn it by playing.
What is the fastest and most efficient way to get Diamonds in Geometry Dash?
There is no premium currency here in the usual sense. Orbs accumulate as you beat levels and are spent on icons and customisation in the shop; Diamonds are scarcer and open up Vault content and the secret shops; Keys and Shards feed the Treasure Room. None of this appears on a purchase screen: it all comes out of chests, quests and completed levels. The only variable is how much you play.
Every day
- 20-50 orbs and 1-5 diamonds every four hours; 100-300 orbs and 4-10 diamonds each day
Small and large daily chests
In the online rewards section there are two chests on timers. The small one opens every four hours and gives between 20 and 50 orbs, 1 to 5 diamonds and, with luck, a shard or a key. The large one runs on a 24-hour cycle and raises the range to 100-300 orbs, 4 to 10 diamonds and one or two shards. Both require an internet connection, because they are validated against the server. It is the most regular income in the game.
- 10, 15 and 20 diamonds depending on the quest tier
Three tiers of quests
Quests are organised into three difficulty tiers. The first asks for 200 orbs, 5 stars or moons, or 2 silver coins, and pays 10 diamonds. The second doubles the figures to 500 orbs, 10 stars or 4 coins, and gives 15. The third demands 1,000 orbs, 15 stars or 6 coins, and hands over 20. New quests are queued every eight hours without wiping the progress on any you have part-way done, so leaving them open costs you nothing.
- One diamond payout per level beaten, once a day
Daily Level
Each day the game highlights a community level and places it in its own slot. Completing it hands out diamonds and then the slot empties until the following day. Difficulty swings a lot from one day to the next, so some are a two-minute formality and others put up a fight. It also counts towards your active quests, because the orbs and stars it pays add to those counters. Previous daily levels can be picked up later from the Vault.
Every week
- 500 orbs, 20 diamonds, 1 key and 2 shards
Weekly Demon
Once a week a Demon-difficulty level appears with a chest attached. Beating it hands over 500 orbs, 20 diamonds, one key and two shards, by far the heftiest payout in the normal routine. The trade-off is obvious: these are hard levels and they can take you several sessions. Even so, it is worth attempting even if you do not close it out, because the orbs you build up in partial attempts still feed your quests and your key counter.
One time only
- Orbs proportional to each level's difficulty and length
Completing official and community levels
The base of the system is still playing. Every rated level pays orbs according to its difficulty and its length, and only the first time you beat it. It is the source that props up everything else, because Treasure Room keys are generated from accumulated orbs. Chaining medium-difficulty levels you can close in a few attempts yields more orbs per hour than getting stuck on a Demon that is still beyond you.
- Dozens of diamonds per completed gauntlet
Gauntlets and level packs
Gauntlets group five themed levels together and pay a batch of diamonds when you finish the set, on top of whatever each level gives individually. The more accessible ones sit around several dozen diamonds. Since it is finite content, it works like a to-do list: you do it once and it is done. For a player who needs diamonds in a hurry, clearing the easy gauntlets is more profitable than waiting out weeks of daily chests.
- One demon key for every 500 orbs accumulated
Treasure Room
The Treasure Room opens for five demon keys and contains chests of rising cost: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 keys. Keys are not bought, they generate on their own at a rate of one per 500 orbs you gather by playing. The expensive chests include exclusive icons and colours on top of orbs and diamonds. Emptying it entirely takes an enormous number of orbs, so it makes sense to keep opening the cheap ones and save up for a big one now and then.
What does not work
No generator can add Diamonds to your Geometry Dash account: the balance is handled on the gameβs servers and there is no way to touch it from outside. If you arrived looking for one, we explain in detail how they work on the inside and why they always end the same way.

How do you buy orbs or diamonds in Geometry Dash?
You do not. Geometry Dash has no currency shop and no in-app purchases for orbs, diamonds, keys or shards: everything is obtained by playing, opening chests and completing quests. That is the fundamental difference from the free-to-play games in this category. Any page offering to sell or generate currency for you is lying, because the purchase mechanism it claims to replicate does not even exist.
How many diamonds can you gather in a normal week?
With the full routine you collect a respectable amount: daily chests add several batches a day, quests pay 10, 15 and 20 diamonds per tier, the Daily Level chips in and the Weekly Demon adds 20 in one go. Above all that, gauntlets give dozens each, but only the first time. The final figure depends mostly on how many levels you are able to close.
What does it take to get demon keys?
They generate automatically as you accumulate orbs: one key for every 500 orbs gathered by playing. There is no shortcut and no relevant alternative source, so raising your key counter is exactly the same thing as playing rated levels. Keys are spent on Treasure Room chests, whose prices run from one to a hundred keys per chest.
Why do the daily chests sometimes not show up?
Because they are tied to the server and need an internet connection to validate. If you play offline, the rewards section does not load and the timer does not advance the way you expect. Checking your connection and going back into the online menu usually fixes it. It is also the reason chest progress cannot be manipulated from the device.
