How to Get the Most Free Gems in Stick War: Legacy

Gems are the only currency that carries over between matches in Stick War: Legacy, and the game hands them out for playing. Here are the proven routes for stacking them up without paying.

What is the fastest and most efficient way to get Gems in Stick War: Legacy?

In Stick War: Legacy gems are the persistent currency: they are stored on your account and spent in the shop, above all on skins that change the look and the abilities of your units. Gold is a different thing entirely: it is the resource your miners extract inside each battle to build units, and it disappears when the fight ends. That is why you cannot save gold between matches, and why the entire long-term economy revolves around gems.

Every day

  • 10 to 100 gems a day depending on your streak day, plus chests on days 7, 14, 21 and 28

    Login streak

The reward for logging in each day follows a 28-day cycle and grows as the streak goes on. The first days hand out 10 gems, around the middle of the cycle it sits between 15 and 40, and day 28 delivers 100 gems along with a golden chest. Days 7 and 14 add a wooden chest and day 21 a silver one. All you have to do is open the game and claim; if you miss a day the progression goes back to the start, so the habit matters more than how long you play.

  • 20 gems per win on Normal, 30 on Hard and 40 on Insane

Replay the campaign on high difficulty

Every campaign fight you win drops gems, and the amount depends solely on the difficulty you picked: 20 on Normal, 30 on Hard and 40 on Insane. Since levels can be replayed, it pays to redo short missions you already have down on the highest difficulty you can handle rather than slog through a long stage on Normal. That is double per match for roughly the same fight time, and it is the source that scales best once your army is developed.

  • 10 gems for every night you survive

    Endless Deads nights

The survival mode against waves of undead pays 10 gems for every night you hold out. Individually that is little, but it stacks up fast because a single run chains several nights together and it does not require progress in any particular campaign. It works well as filler for days when you only have a few minutes: you jump in, survive as many nights as you can and leave with a guaranteed handful of gems. It also forces you to practise miner management under pressure, which is exactly what makes the difference on Insane later.

Every week

  • 20-40 gems per level cleared, plus whatever the hidden easter eggs drop

    Weekly missions

The missions mode publishes new levels every Friday across a saga-style map, with separate crowns for Normal, Hard and Insane. Wins pay on the same scale as the campaign, 20 to 40 gems by difficulty, and some levels hide easter eggs that hand out extra gems if you stray off the obvious path. It is new content every week, so it pays better than replaying familiar stages and is worth setting aside some weekend time for.

  • 20-40 gems per fight and 300, 400 or 500 for closing out the final round

    Crown of Inamorta

The tournament mode puts you up against a ladder of computer-controlled rivals all the way to the final round. Each win along the way pays the same as the campaign, 20 to 40 gems by difficulty, but the real prize sits at the end: 300 gems on Normal, 400 on Hard and 500 on Insane. It is the biggest one-off payout in the game after completing campaigns, and since you can retry it, save it for when you have an army capable of holding up on high difficulty.

One time only

  • 500 gems on Normal, 1000 on Hard and 1500 on Insane

Complete each campaign for the first time

Finishing all the main levels of a campaign for the first time unlocks a separate, non-repeating payout: 500 gems if you close it on Normal, 1000 on Hard and 1500 on Insane. These are three distinct milestones, not mutually exclusive, so anyone who finishes the campaign on all three difficulties collects all three amounts. It is the biggest gem reserve a player can reach without paying, and it is worth planning for rather than leaving campaigns half-done while jumping between them.

What does not work

No generator can add Gems to your Stick War: Legacy account: the balance is handled on the game’s servers and there is no way to touch it from outside. If you arrived looking for one, we explain in detail how they work on the inside and why they always end the same way.

Frequently asked questions

How exactly does the login streak work?

It is a 28-day cycle where the reward climbs as you chain days together. It starts at 10 gems, grows in tiers and ends with 100 gems and a golden chest on day 28, with intermediate chests on days 7, 14 and 21. All you have to do is open the game and claim. If you skip a day, the counter goes back to the start and you lose the high tiers, which are by far the ones that pay most.

How many extra gems does playing on Insane give over Normal?

Exactly double per win: 40 gems on Insane against 20 on Normal, with 30 on Hard as the middle step. That same scale applies in the campaign, the weekly missions and Crown of Inamorta. In the campaign completion prizes the gap is even bigger, going from 500 gems on Normal to 1500 on Insane. That is why it is worth stepping up in difficulty as soon as your army can take it, even if each match takes a bit longer.

Why does gold not carry over from one match to the next?

Because in Stick War: Legacy gold is not an account currency but a resource internal to each battle. Your miners extract it in real time to pay for units and upgrades during that specific fight, and the counter resets when it ends. What does carry over is gems. This changes how you play: the goal is not to hoard gold but to turn it into army as fast as possible without letting mining stall.

What should you buy first with saved-up gems?

Shop skins are not purely cosmetic: they change the abilities of the unit wearing them, so your first purchase should reinforce the unit your usual strategy is built around, normally the miners or the frontline unit you use most. Buying scattered skins for units you barely deploy fragments your savings. And if you pull duplicates from chests they turn into gems, so opening chests is never a total loss.
